How We Use Your Information

• Plant identification and health assessment via Plant.id API
• Storing your garden data in Firebase (Google Cloud)
• Sending care reminders and notifications
• Managing your subscription via Google Play / App Store billing
• Improving our service and user experience

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): authentication, database, file storage, analytics, crash reporting
• Plant.id API: plant identification and health assessment — your photos are sent to this service for analysis
• Google Play / Apple App Store: subscription and payment processing — we never see your payment details

Photo Usage

Photos you scan are sent to Plant.id for identification. They are also stored in Firebase Storage linked to your account. We strip location metadata (EXIF data) from photos before upload.

Location Data

We request location access solely for providing climate-based plant care recommendations. We do not track your location or share it with third parties.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is stored as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen. Upon deletion, all your personal data, plants, and photos are permanently removed.

• Access: request a copy of your data
• Deletion: delete your account and all data
• Portability: export your data
• Correction: update your profile information

Children's Privacy

PlantAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
